For a more sustainable Christmas
Christmas is the time for gifts, sharing, treats, joy, lights and family time! However, this is also the time when a lot of waste is generated, excessive rubbish and a lack of care when separating it.
Because we all have a duty to care about our future and the future of our children, so that they can live many happy Christmases, we want to contribute every day to a more sustainable and balanced planet through small gestures that make a big difference!

We know that the biggest waste comes when dealing with gifts, and that's why we leave you with some simple but very effective tips that will help you reduce waste as much as possible and even save some money!
Reuse
The most important rule: make use of everything we already have at home! There is no more ecological way to wrap a gift than using materials that we already have at home from previous years, make sure you don't have any paper, bags, bows or ribbons lying around at home. You'll see that you'll be able to save a lot and won't need to rush out and buy new things!
As wrapping paper, you can always use old maps, newspaper or magazine sheets, kraft paper, among others that may be lying around the house. They will look super original!
Use more environmentally friendly materials
If you really need to buy some type of material such as wrapping paper or glue tape, opt for simpler materials that are easier to recycle, for example if you buy paper glue tape it will be easier to dispose of the torn packages in the blue recycling bin, in addition to not generate so much plastic waste.
Use different and reusable materials
And how about using other materials to make that special package? A bag or a piece of fabric, for example, is a great option that can later be reused and there will be no need to create so much waste. See if you have any old sheets, cloths, tablecloths, fabric napkins or other fabrics that you can use. To decorate gifts you can also use natural materials such as leaves, branches, slices of dehydrated fruit, cinnamon sticks, etc. There's nothing like going for a walk to the nearest park to find super cool "materials"! Let your imagination run wild!
Enjoy and then separate
And how about using the wrapping paper, ribbons and bows used for a craft session? Before throwing it away, see if it can be used for an afternoon of cutting, collages and lots of creativity! Kids have a lot of imagination and we're sure they'll be able to transform something that would otherwise be "trash" into a unique work of art!
If it is not possible to reuse, be careful to separate the various materials and place them in their respective containers. Spread and pack all packaging well so that they don't take up so much space.
Extra tip: you can also use your imagination and create your own homemade gifts, such as a candle or cookies. They will have a special meaning as they show dedication and affection to the person to whom they give it. The most important thing is not the monetary value of the gift, but the love we put into it!
